UNSPOKEN WORDS

The silent search for meaning; sometimes we have so much to say but no words come out and there they remains in our heart left unsaid; Hearts are often broken by words left unspoken; life is short there is no time to leave important words unsaid…

It was pretty hot in the room and she lay restlessly on her bed. The fan above turning with an untuned music produce no air to that unventilated dark room.
She rose from the bed and moved towards the table there she kept drinking water in a bottle of some unknown soft drink.
A few mouths of water were not that enough to escape from thirst. She dropped the bottle with a little anger.
Beside her bed lie another two empty beds as the owners already left home after the final exams at college.
She sat restless in the chair near her study table above which lies the books of yesterday’s exam, some still half open.
Pens, pencils and books were spread out at that table like the remains of a world war. A family of ants was in duty of a half consumed packet of biscuit placed near the emptied bottles of water.
She gave no importance to these dramas.
After series of night outs for exams she was loving to have a deep sleep and at middle of the night she is still sitting awake lonely in the hostel room finding answer for something.

 **************
As it was last exam of the semester or the entire course she was a bit exited and didn’t give enough importance even to the NB portions she marked during her series exam.
After lunch she rushed from the hostel to the college.
From the display notice board. Find the examination hall and moved fast towards it. Reaching the hall she gave a quick glance all over and found him standing near an empty corner looking far in to gulmohar tree near the ground.
She moved towards him and suddenly the bell rang for examination and everyone hurried towards the hall.
He awaked from his day dream looks so gloomy walked slowly towards the room and on his way stopped near her seat and said.
“I will wait for you near the gulmohar tree after exam”
She smiled.
**************
After exam it was farewell moments outside the hall. Hugging, laughing, weeping everyone shared the deepness of their friendship.
She moved slowly towards the big tree where he was expected to wait for her. The evening wind was not that effective at that dry hot summer and ground was engaged by vacation players and he stands silently watching them.
          She joined him.
After four years of friendship he suddenly felt so difficult to start the conversation, an unknown fear was pulling him from behind...
After minutes of silent conversation he looked towards her eyes and said’ “shalini, I am not feeling that well today, shall we meet here tomorrow before you leave for your home “
She was surprised to hear those words strangely spoken by a friend of her who knows every silence of her.
She stands silently watching him walking towards his hostel.

**************
Looking lazily towards the untidy floors she lost her sleep due to the unusual behavior of her best friend.
But “what was the thing that was disturbing him to spoke to me”
          She sat confused.
The fan continued his forceful rotation with no results.
**************
Every relation left behind them some unspoken words before they left, like the sun leaving behind him the dim light before vanishing inside the waves.
